Can’t get more “visceral”  than that!  Five other Greenpeace protestors were arrested with me on Wednesday, February 15th for standing up to Duke Energy’s rate hikes for dirty energy. And so I was singin the jail house rock all day. Well worth it. I felt at peace when the police took me away from the tri pods that we erected in front of Duke Energy’s headquarters because what we did today was for everyone. It was bigger than us. It was for clean air, water, the Appalachian mountains and for our home. Many of the women I met in jail had asthma. They asked me why I had been arrested and I told them I was there for them.   Here is a picture of me getting cuffed :)
